Guiding the Third Plane: The Inspired Practice Marketplace

The third plane of development (ages 12–18) calls for a thoughtful shift in how we support adolescents—one that honors their drive for independence, identity, and meaningful contribution. This training creates a collaborative “marketplace” of ideas, where guides come together to share practices, challenges, and insights rooted in real experience. Grounded in the importance of this developmental stage, we will explore how to cultivate environments that foster purpose, belonging, and responsibility, while learning from one another to strengthen and refine our work with adolescents.

Purpose & Intention

A collaborative, full-day experience where Montessori junior high guides come together to exchange ideas, deepen practice, and be inspired. Through a “marketplace” of shared strategies, participants will explore best practices in adolescent curriculum, social-emotional development, and the unique needs of the third plane, leaving with practical tools and renewed clarity for their work.

Course Description

Together, we will explore and gain:

  • Practical, classroom-tested strategies for implementing meaningful junior high curriculum

  • Approaches to support adolescent social-emotional development and community building

  • Opportunities to share challenges and learn from other experienced guides

  • Renewed inspiration and clarity for guiding adolescents with purpose and confidence

As always, participants will receive a training certificate for professional development credit.
